East Wind is led by owner Tiffany Morrissey who was awarded her R-Rating as a judge in 2019.
Originally from New York, Morrissey began achieving success in the horse industry at a young age. She competed at the highest level as a junior rider, ribboning in all the major equitation finals, including a second place finish at USET Talent Search Finals in 2000. She went on to win more than 20 USET classes and receive her gold medal before jumping up to the Grand Prix level. Morrissey has earned many ribbons throughout the years in various grand prixs, and she won her first in 2007. She also duplicated her success in the hunter ring, qualifying for derby finals in consecutive years. Morrissey started East Wind Farms, LLC, in 2007, and she has successfully trained her students, as well as her own horses, to numerous WEF circuit championships. Her students have qualified for, competed at, and earned ribbons at top horse shows - from THIS Medal Finals to USET Zone winners to SFHJA year end champions and everything in between. In 2017, Tiffany Morrissey received a perfect 100 score in the USHJA National Hunter Derby in Traverse City, MI. Other recent highlights include earning the Reserve Championship title in the 5-Year-Old Final at the 2015 Young Jumper Championships with Maarten Huygens' Carpriccio. Tiffany married Matt Morrissey in 2008, the vice president of operations for the well known horse show management company, Morrissey Management. Morrissey Management runs prestigious events like the American Invitational, the American Gold Cup, the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, the Lake Placid Horse Show and the Palm Beach Masters, among others. East Wind has been a part of it all and will continue to be a force in the show ring in the years to come. |
